Admirals Log:
Panama 2nd visit and the Canal crossing
Watching the mules pull the massive ship along from one loch to the next was impressive. You can see the lines going from the ship to one of the mules (like miniature train engines)

There were ships going in all direction - the pilot on our boat said they run every day of the year, including Christmas day, putting through between 35 - 40 per day.
The feeling I had when we got to the other side was amazing. I didn't realise how much it would mean to me to be on the Pacific. On our way home!!! Still thousands of miles to go, but in the same ocean as NZ!
We then had to say goodbye to Mark, Fiona and the boys, do a little provision and head out to the Las Perlas islands off the south coast of Panama.
